Based on current weather forecasts for Hurricane Ike, the Mayor of Houston, Texas has requested that all businesses close tomorrow.  As a result, the Settlement Facility – Dow Corning offices, which are located in Houston, Texas – will be closed tomorrow, Friday, September 12th.

In addition, to prepare for the impending hurricane and to allow employees who live in areas where a mandatory evacuation order has been issued time to return home and evacuate, the Settlement Facility offices will close today, September 11th, at noon.  The power will be shut off; therefore, the Settlement Facility will not be able to receive telephone calls or allow callers to leave messages or emails.  The offices plan to reopen on Monday, September 15 barring any storm damage or electrical problems.
