CLAIMANTS' ADVISORY COMMITTEE E-NEWSLETTER
Volume 3, No. 4, April 3, 2006

This is the 24th e-newsletter (Vol. 3, No. 4) from the Claimants’ Advisory Committee (CAC) in the Dow Corning bankruptcy Settlement Plan. You were sent a copy of the newsletter because our records show that you requested to be on the mailing list. If you wish to unsubscribe or to reply to this newsletter, send an email to: info@tortcomm.org. Please do not hit “Reply” to this email address. Please use the email address: info@tortcomm.org.

Requests for copies of claim forms or inquiries about the status of a claim should be directed to the Settlement Facility at info@sfdct.com or you can call them at 866-874-6099.

On Friday, March 31, 2006, the District Court entered an order – “Agreed Order Resetting Cure Deadlines to July 17, 2006.” A copy of the Order will be posted on the CAC website this week. The Agreed Order extends the cure deadline (not the Rupture or Class 7/9 deadline of June 1, 2006) for all claimants whose claim has been reviewed by the Settlement Facility and found deficient to July 17, 2006. This means that if your cure deadline has either already run or would run before July 16, 2006 it has been reset to July 17, 2006.

In addition, the Court entered a Scheduling Order for Disputed Late Claims on March 31, 2006. The Scheduling Order applies only to those claimants who did not file a timely Proof of Claim form by January 15, 1997 or November 30, 1999 or a timely Notice of Intent form by August 30, 2004. A copy of the Order will be available on the CAC website this week.

The CAC recently learned that the links to register for e-newsletters and possibly to send the CAC an email (info@tortcomm.org) were not functioning properly during the month of March. If you sent an email inquiry during that time and it was not answered, please resend it. Questions about the status of a claimant’s claim, review, payment, or general questions about the Plan can be directed to the Claims Assistance Program (CAP) at info@sfdct.com.

If you would like to read prior CAC e-newsletters, they are available on the CAC website by clicking on "Electronic Newsletter."  We urge you to visit the CAC website (www.tortcomm.org) on a regular basis to download or view relevant documents and read updates and new information.
